Questions, bugs, anything else
Email support@edgey.app and you will get a reply. If you are reporting a bug, the level name and your device model are usually enough to find it.
Every tile can move. Press one and drag it: it lifts and shrinks so you can see the board underneath, and the slot you are hovering over lights up. Drop it on another tile and they swap places; drop it on an empty slot and it moves there. Drop it on nothing and it settles back.
Fewest moves wins. Time is shown, and breaks ties, but it is not what you are ranked on — tapping faster will not move you up the board. A turn is one move and a swap is one move.
No. Undo takes the move back and removes it from your count entirely, so you can try things out freely. You are ranked on the solution you finish with, not on how long you took to find it.
Par is how many moves the board was shuffled by, so it can always be solved in that many or fewer. It is a target, not a limit — take as many as you like.
Most boards have a mark that appears exactly twice and nowhere else. If you spot one, you know immediately which two tiles have to touch, and which way round they go. It is the fastest way into a board you are stuck on.
No. The glowing bar across a matched seam is a progress marker, not a clasp. Moving a tile can separate a pair you have already matched.
Tap it. Each tap turns it a quarter turn clockwise. The four marks travel round with the tile but stay upright, so a flame never appears upside down.
Two things: every pair of touching edges shows the same mark, and no tile is left on its own. You cannot finish by scattering the board so that nothing touches. The bar at the top counts how many of the seams currently on the board are matched — when it is full and no tile is stranded, the level is done.
Yes. Each board is built solved and then scrambled using only legal moves, so a solution always exists. Every level is also checked before release to confirm it cannot be finished in a handful of moves by luck.
Yes. Levels are generated from a fixed seed, so your board for a given level is identical to everyone else's. That is what makes the leaderboard times comparable.
Open the player panel from the level screen and tap Restore purchase. This asks Apple or Google to re-confirm your purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same account you bought it on.
Your purchase restores on any device signed in to the same store account. Best times are stored on the device, so those do not transfer — but your leaderboard entries stay on the leaderboard.
They are from Noto Color Emoji by Google, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The artwork is bundled with the game rather than drawn by your phone's own emoji font, so every player sees exactly the same marks — which matters when the shape is what you are matching.
The game picks it — two words from a fixed list, like "Azure Sparrow", plus a short tag such as JZ4. You can shuffle it in the player panel. There is no way to type your own, which means nobody has to see a name they would rather not, and there is nothing to report or moderate.
The tag after the name tells them apart. It is derived from that identifier and never changes, so your row is always yours — it is also highlighted for you in your own app.
It re-unlocks the packs you have already paid for, on a new phone, after a reinstall, or if a purchase completed but did not register. It asks Apple or Google what your account owns — you are never charged twice.
Turn off posting in the player panel to stop sending new times. To remove what is already there, email the address above with the name and tag from that panel.
